      Description: Anchor - Ex American clipper "Whistler". "Whisler" was wrecked on King Island in 1855 on her way from Melbourne to Singapore in ballast after delivering 418 chinese immigrants from Hong Kong. All but 2 of the crew survived. "Whisler" was a fully rigged clipper ship; her anchor is of the old style with a wooden stock. (see Broxam & Nash, Tasmanian Shipwrecks for more details.)
