      Date: 1943 -

Description: Black painted, mild steel cashbox with three compartments. Centre compartment has a sliding lid and an elongated ring grip handle. The two end compartments open on hinges and have ring grip handles. Belonged to Captain Charles Booth, who was a school teacher on Cape Barren Island (1943-1949) and later Council Clerk on Flinders Island (1949-1959). He and his wife then ran a boarding house at Lady Barron
