Description: A 93 ton wooden screw steamer built in Hobart in 1890 by William Bays,NUBEENA was a small coastal steamer which ran onto Cremorne Beach on a dark night in 1910. She was on her way from Koonya to Hobart with 25 passengers and 40 cattle. All people and animals were landed safely and after a night spent around fires lit on the beach they walked to Rokeby.
