Description: Another view of Murray's Reward Mine at Balfour, Tasmania in early 1900s. The copper boom began to stagnate from about 1913 at Balfour and most syndicates abandoned their leases. By 1924 copper mining had been abandoned and after that only a few tin miners scratched out a living in the Balfour area.
