Description: 'Hastings Triptych' attempts to evoke feelings generated by impressions of three places at Hastings, a beautiful area on the edge of remoteness in southern Tasmania. It is characterised by water in its many forms of mists and rain, rivers and bays, interacting with the landscape of hills and forests, creating an over-riding sense of tranquility and mystery. Inspired by the Hastings area. Written for small ensemble - Flute and Piano. First performed at Government House, Tasmania by David Cubbin and Geoffrey Lancaster.
