      Description: Framed portrait of Mrs Edward Evans. Widow Jane Howie wife of David Howie married Edward Evans, a cobbler by trade, who joined the workforce as a young stockman at Woolnorth and Robbins Island when his family moved to Circular Head, Tasmania, in the 1850s. Edward and Jane married in 1864 and had four children.
