Description: Galvanised steel milk separator with turning handle. Inscribed ALFA LAVAL No.4 60 PR MIN. Bowl has two spouts, one for cream, one for milk. This type of separator was used by farmers for their own use or to separate the cream to go to the Flinders Island butter factory. Originally used at 'Koronavia' the Ferguson family farm in the 1900's
