      Date: 1930 -

Description: Two pairs of binoculars, the first with the body covered in brown leather and with a brown leather shoulder strap, brass fittings, one eyecup missing. Inscribed TALBOT REEL & MFG CO, M C M O VS. The second brass painted black with black leather covering on the body and a black shoulder strap, now worn to brown, both eyecups missing. Manufacturer Lemaire, inscribed Extra Luminous. Both originally owned by the donor, Derek Smith (dec) who was an amateur naturalist in the Furneaux islands.
