Description: Workers at Ernest H. Fenton's sawmill at Smithton, Tasmania in 1922. It was situated behind the Smithton High School via Mill Road off Montagu Road. E.H. Fenton is standing at far right. Fenton's had mills at Smithton, Salmon River and Redpa till 1941. The original mill at Smithon burned down in 1928 but was rebuilt on the same site.
