J. & Sons Date: 1918 - Description: The log chute was constructed of groups of approximately five parallel logs placed end to end to form a long chute on a hillside too steep for a tramway for the purpose of transporting logs to the mill site. The logs travelled down this chute with great velocity to within the vicinity of J. J. Dillon & Sons sawmill at Alonnah.
