Description: Blue ringed octopus, Haplaochlaena macalosus, was found by Polly Coster in a scallop shell near the old Emita Jetty site. These animals are common in tidal pools, they hide beneath rocks at low tide and are very venomous. Animal is in a methylated spirits filled glass jar.
