Local builder Mr. Roy Badcock started construction on this timber building in late 1945. Members of the Tasmanian Police Force worked from this office for nearly three decades. It was later used as a base for the Westbury Fire Fighting Brigade. Since 1993 this Meander Valley Council building has been occupied by the Westbury Historical Society. This image was captured from the northern direction in February 2004.
