      Date: 1900 -

Description: Wooden handled knife with long curved blade. Blade is one long piece with handle formed from two separate wooden pieces, attached to either side of the blade with 3 brass rivets, the middle one broken. Four recessed grooves on the upper surface of the handle for good grip. Hand incised on both sides of the handle with the letter W (for Willis). Used for cutting mutton-bird carcases. One of the original artefacts in the replica mutton-bird processing shed.
