      Date: 1857 -

Description: Token penny with hole drilled on the edge. Inscription:Obverse: "PEACE & PLENTY 1857" around coat of arms with Emu at left and Kangaroo at right and the motto "ADVANCE AUSTRALIA". Reverse: "AUSTRALIAN TEA MART HANKS AND LLOYD SYDNEY". Dots around perimeter of both faces. Edge: without any milling, inscription or decoration. Minted in England for the Australian currency, 1857. Recovered from wreck of the Dunbar in Sydney.
