Description: An archival A4 album containing 42 colour photographs, two black & white photographs, various press cuttings and magazine articles about industries started on Flinders Island after 1987 and up to 2001. They include poppy trials, cauliflower seed production, establishment of abattoir - Flinders Island Quality Meats, milk- fed lamb, raising Cape Barren geese, growing vegetables, production of Feral Barbeques, farming of abalone - Furneaux Aquaculture, Latitude 40 woollen products, Flinders Island Fleece knitted garments and Carnsdale Wool Crafts. Most of the industries are/were carried on by farmers keen to diversify from and value add to the existing traditional wool, sheep and cattle industries.
