Description: Oval engine plaque, reads "Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd. Engineers & Shipbuilders No. 651 Linthouse 1959 Glasgow" The plaque is from the 'City of Melbourne'. This ship was constructed by Alexander Stephen and Co, Glasgow, and launched by Ellerman lines as the 'City of Melbourne'. It was renamed 'City of Cape Town' and then 'MV Otagold'. The ship's plate, construction specifications and company flag were presented by Messrs. Harold Gee, Laurie Shea, and Harold Walker, who sailed aboard, with a load of apples for South East Asia, on 23 April 1979 from Beauty Point her final voyage to Taiwan to the breakers.
