Stanley Show Committee 1908

      Date: 1908 -

Description: The first show held in Circular Head, Tasmania, was held on the corner of King and Emmett street in Smithton by the Smithton Horticultural, Industrial and Poultry Society in September 1906. Then in 1907 the Circular Head District Agricultural, Pastoral, Horticultural and Poultry Association was formed and they held a show in Stanley in November 1907. The Stanley Show Committee pictured in 1908 were back L-R: C O'Connor, W J Waters, A B Cowle, J L Waters, T Haywood, Dr McCausland, E W Stevens, Rev Anderson, Ned Edwards, C Harman, W Anthony. Front L-R: W L Feutrill, K C Laughton, H W Wells, H G Spicer, H F Ford, H Kirby, T Dennis, J Osbourne, A C Smith.
