      Description: This bluestone and sandstone structure built in 1862 is situated near the village of Hagley in Tasmania. Under the altar on the eastern side of the church lie the remains of Tasmania's first native born Knight and former Premier of Tasmania, Sir Richard Dry who died at the age of 54 on the 1st. August 1869. Sir Richard was largely responsible for the erection of the building. A tower, spire and vestry were added to the church in 1932. The successful tenderer for the work was Mr. R. McGowan of Launceston. The additions were dedicated to the Late Lady Dry and Miss Jane Patterson. A ceremony of consecration for the new portions took place on the 6th. December 1932, and was performed by the Lord Bishop, The Right Reverend Dr. R. Snowdon Hay. This image was taken from the north-western direction.
