Description: This structure is situated at 47 Willaim Street in Westbury, Tasmania. The shop and residence was built in the 1850's - 1860's by Westbury builder and undertaker Mr. Charles Reynolds. He was ably assisted by Mr. James Best who was the local bricklayer. One of the earlier proprietors of this building was Mr. William O'Neill who was a shoe maker by trade and operated a shop at this address in the early 1870's era. In 1924, Mrs. Annie Ingamells purchased the O'Neill business and with her family managed the corner shop selling a variety of goods for several decades. In recent years the building has been used as a craft shop, a soft furnishing's business, a Real Estate Agents office and later a private residence. In the year 2001, the structure was sold and then converted into a licensed cafe and restaurant and named Hob Nobs. This photograph was taken from the south-western direction in December 2002.
