Description: The ALADDIN 233 ton barque built by John Ross in Hobart in 1871,owned by Belbin and Dowdell, Rex and Herbert. ACACIA was used in the intercolonial blue-gum trade between Australia and New Zealand. She was lost with all hands in 1904 at Mainwaring Inlet on the West Coast of Tasmania. The crew of a fishing boat found the wreckage and 5 skeletons were brought to Hobart for burial. Previously HMS MUTINE.
